In Haiti, the need for blood is real and constant. Whether for surgical emergencies, obstetric complications, trauma, or diseases such as malaria or anemia, hospitals need blood products that are available, safe, and in sufficient quantity.<\/p>

Scientists have yet to unlock the secret of synthesizing blood in a laboratory. To this day, no medicine or synthetic product can replace human blood. There are situations in which only blood products can truly change a patient’s prognosis.<\/p>
